Caller: some random indian bloke

automated msg from paypal. $999 purchase, etc. press #2 to approve ;) still got transferred to indian bloke. told him to get another job and that everyone now hates indians because of him. then I hung up.

Caller: They claimed they were calling from Telstra.

They said a third party was using my internet, seemed suspicious

(02) 5303 1645 called and said 'respected custome, this call is" that is when I hung up and blocked that number

This number just called me and when i answered they hung up - no noise or anything. Definitely blocking number.
So sick of getting these calls!

Sounded like a scammer

Getting daily calls from numbers starting with 02 5303 xxxx My phone flags them as potential spam, so I don't answer. Going by the comments I'm glad I havent.

Caller: Aus Government

A scam, I think. Said something about a passport error and to press 1 for English, 2 for Chinese. I hung up.

Caller: Unknown- but Sounded like an Indian Call Centre

Received a call from a Bathurst, NSW number.It's so obviously a scam. Lady said hello? Then launched into speaking Hindi to me. I hung up. Sounds like a similar situation to most.

So why hasn't the telco shut this number down. It appears that the telco's work hand in hand with the scammers

Saying from Telstra and need to fix your connection from public back to private, wanted me to open google account so I could see what they were saying, when stated if from telstra then please send Foxtel an email on what needs to be corrected hang up

Scam call 100%, ignore and don't call back.

call number came from bathurst again but different one this time. just let it ring out. last time answered and said nothing then they hung up

Caller: Visa security

Someone used my visa card, I asked them what was the card number she could not tell me, so I hung up. INDIAN SCAMMERS

PayPal scam.

Caller: Scammer

Obviously a scam caller going by previous reports about this phone number.

This number has called me a few times and I finally answered. A woman that sounded like she was in a call centre told me that my account has been hacked by someone in the US. She gave me their name and told me they used my details to open up accounts on social media and could access my phone. She never told me what to do because after all the warnings when I asked her what she wanted the “phone started crackling” and she apparently couldn’t hear me.
Though she did share my details with me (mainly name, phone and an old address of mine) it was obviously something gotten from online shopping I’d say. I highly doubt Google/gmail would contact anyone that way to warn them of a scam.
These scam calls make me nervous but definitely felt like a scan regardless.

Don’t answer unknown numbers .. phone identified it as a BATHURST number .. there’s no reason for anyone to be calling me from there .. blocked number

Paypal scam.

Caller: Scammer - 'from paypal'

Typical scam - automated message saying there was a purchase for $799. Asked me if i did it. Asked him what name it was in. He couldn't answer. I laughed at him and said you're an idiot. He swore at me and called me an idiot. I told him he was obviously the idiot as i didn't fall for his scam.
