don't speak when I answered the phone

Received a call today from (02) 4928 7447 today to my landline. When answered there is no one there.

Also said he was on the gold coast, [sameas Paula said] Caller ID clearly says not. bit worried I do not liketo be liedto.

Called my twice today and tried to called back but the line was engaged or something.

May be scammers. If Century 21 (their Newcastle listed number differs by the last two digits) they are in breach of the "Do Not Call" restrictions. Line is busy whenever you ring back.

Calls but do not respond to my "hello". This number has called before. Had enough!

Answered call from what appeared to be a Newcastle area number. Woman said she was from the "Advisory Centre". I commented that it was a scam call and she insisted it wasn't. She was looking for homeowners in our area. I asked her where she was located because it was a Newcastle phone number, she insisted that she on the Gold Coast and she was trying to be cheery about the weather. I then asked here where she got my number from (I didn't mention to her I was on the do not call register) as I was trying to get information so I could get my phone number removed. It was then she said "oh I don't want to bother you any further" and hung up before I could get any answers.

I tried phoning the number but it was engaged. (No surprise there). Beware!
