I actually was a bit worried about this so i called the DNCR. They mentioned that this is a scam call and there is a large amount of these calls threatening legal action what a bag of d#$%s. They left a message saying that if I did not return the call a warrant would be put for my arrest this scamming at its lowest level. hang call DNCR and let them know.

Caller: SCAM call recording claiming to be from ATO

Recorded message -robotic foreign voice claiming to be from tax office advising I'd be arrested if I didnt call back.
Called several times as did many of my social media followers to have a bit of fun and mess with their heads but unfortunately they didnt answer

Recorded message specifying they are The Australian tax office! saying there’s a substantial amount of money owing in my name ! and that if I don’t call them back and quote a case number’ they told me that a warrant would be issued for my arrest within 24hrs .
How could they get anything out of this if they are scammers ? Does anyone know why they do this ?
Because when I called back it was always a busy line ???

I also got a call from this nr yesterday and tried to call back, always occupied. I didn’t understand everything that was said because I’m a tourist and English is not my native language. But it was about tax and an arrest warrant....

Quite a concerning message threatening legal action and stating they had an arrest warrant issued under my name.
It was a recorded digital message (not a real person)

How stupid do this scammers think we are? The word is out that these call are total bs so it makes one wonder about the mentality of these fools.

Yeah, I agree this is a big scam happening in Australia, it is a recording threatening you to legal action. Please do not fall for this scam.

I got a few calls from this number which I didn't pick up.I got a voice message saying that a lawsuit had been filed against me.If I don't call them back immediately, a warrant will be placed for my arrest.Weird thing was it was a robot voice.I called back as I was horrified but no one picked up.I reported the scam .Thanks for this post.

Received a call from this number this morning. Some recorded message. I hung up. Did not leave a message but from what I have been reading its a scam number invading my privacy.

A recorded message allegedly from the ATO stating an arrest warrant was issued under my name. Called back, no answer. Ironically it is a Penrith phone number where there is an ATO office

I rang once and got disconnected

I just received this msg under the name of ATO to ring back. My tax was overdue. I jump on Google to find this is scam. I think they target people they have overdue ammount by ATO.

I got the same message from this number saying I have a arrest warrant against me name. called back. didn't go through.

Left a message saying that if I did not return the call a warrant would be put for my arrest, this is too funny. I actually called the number back from a few different phones and it was busy everytime, how dumb do they think people are!!
