Bruce, John and Daniel all ringing from "Telstra's technical department" to let me know about my routers broadcasting.. persistent phone calls, rude phone operators who are argumentative and clearly running a scam. They use one number several times, and then ring again from a very similar number.. this has happened 4 times in the last week.

I get several nuisance calls every day now, from this number too It’s time we reconsider the death penalty + Australian federal police have to get their act together and do something about these scammers instead of sitting in Canberra waiting for “the big attack” from China : we are all under attack now and we’ve had enough

Having an unlisted number does not stop all of these nuisance calls. They can still call random numbers.

Same as others, told me that when I used my internet that something malicious was downloading into my computer and that I wouldn't know what it was. I told him I would sort it out myself....his response was "Well I'm going to cut your connection and you won't be able to use the internet for six months"..I guess this message that I'm posting must be in my imagination then

I don't answer unknown numbers, like this one, which has called several times a day recently. Upon entering it here I see that it as expected, spam.

Luckily, I did not answer this caller who hung up after four rings each time. From all the comments here I have registered it on my phone as SCAM Telstra. About ten days ago I had the Telstra scam conversation with a woman who called from a Qld number (07) 5416 9854) and said my connection had been hacked and she could help. I was to turn on my computer and she would guide me through the process to fix it. I smelled a rat and said I would call her back. She gave me a Melbourne number (03) 9107 5000 and her employee number too. I did not call. They have tried to reach me several times since, without success. Now they are trying from this NSW number. My number is unlisted. However, that can take time to be of any help because my connection is new, for all I know the number is probably in the phone book.

When I told her that I couldn't quite understand her accent, she put me on to her "manager" who tried to get me to go to my computer and check what he was talking about. I said no and hung up....they rang back 3 times and realised I wouldn't pick up again.

Same as all of the above. Always Indian and saying from Telstra Technical Department. The name was Daniel. I told him not to call this number again, and guess what?? He just did!! I've picked up the phone numerous times only to have the caller hang up. I tried to call the number and there was no connection.

Just called me four times in a row. Answered first time and heard background voices, hung up and then they continued to call another three times. Took phone off the hook. So annoying.!

Exactly the same calls with same messages,( phoned on a daily basis) which have been posted, we were phoned twice today!. Previously I asked to speak to the supervisor immediately the phone was put down. When this number is shown on the phone I let it go to the answering machine, I did think of phoning Telestra..DO THEY CARE?????One suggestion is to have a whistle by the phone and when they phone use it...perhaps then they will get the mesage

I didn’t recognise the number but decided to answer it anyhow. The foreign male voice said he was from Telstra connections team & he was phoning regarding my service. Although I heard where he said he was from, I asked again; where he was from (as I wanted to string him along a bit). He promptly hung up. Scammer!
