Same as everyone else. Claim to be our ISP and that our NBN is going to be disconnected.
Caller: I don’t know
O2 number. I didn’t answer. They didn’t leave a message.
Called claiming to be my ISP (without actually stating a company name) and that my IP address had been hacked. Hung up as I answered Caller: "Nicole from the NBN"
Recorded message saying they were going to cut off our NBN and to press "1" to be connected to the operator or whatever. Needless to say, I didn't press "1". Total scam. They should be prosecuted.
cock heads Caller: Nicole
The pre-recoded message purports to be the National Broadband saying that our landline and internet will be cut-off tomorrow and invites you to press 1 to speak to a technician. English is obviously a second (maybe third) language for these people.
I pressed 1 as I like to play these people along without giving them any information for as long as I can. When they realise that you are having a lend of them they become very hostile and their language becomes very colourful.
Same number just called. I did not answer and they did not bother to leave a message. Assumed it was a scammer. Caller: Don't leave a message
Nuisance calls re NBN
Caller: Fake Telstra (02) 4447 5360
Recording of an Aussie accent that said to press 1 or my landline and internet would be cut off. I have had the NBN for several years so I knew it was a scam but I pressed 1 to see what happened. A female with an asian accent answered saying she was from Telstra. I suggested she should find a job that did not involve lying to people and hung up.
Caller: Scam NBN
Wanted to tell us that NBN will be cut off What a joke!
Caller: Nicole the robot from NBN
Robotic female voice warning of disconnection. No NBN here though.
I usually waste some of their time by playing dumb, but I just wasn't in the mood this afternoon.
Caller: "National Broadband Network"
Claimed to be the National Broadband Network, going to cut off our internet. Press 1 for technical support. Pressed 1. Repeat of robocall spiel. Pressed 1. Line hung up
the fist 1/2 of the call is robo caller saying that your landline and internet will cut off in the next 24 hrs and to pares 1 now.
I called it back but rain off to message bank but it was full
Nicole NBN scam Suspected that it was a scam. I didn't press1.I just hung up. Scam Definitely a scam Caller: NBN scam
Nicole again, recorded call threatening to cut of my NBN ...SCAM
Received a recorded message regarding NBN, which i don't have anyway, so i just kept the line open until they hung up.
Went through to answering machine, no one talked simply a series of peeps then hung up. This call was about 2 minutes before a similar call from (02) 9157 2822. Suspect scam.
