Just answer the phone and ask them to hold on for a second.
Then don't go back
Let them stay hanging on, costs them money in terms of how many calls they do :-)

English speaking female called asking to speak with David - told them t was a wrong number. Noisy background that sounded like a call centre.

The Accor research/consultants have stop using their old number (02) 4222 3000) and are using this one now. Block!

Constantly call different times of the day.

These guys usually call because you've joined an associated hotel membership program (or even stayed at one of their hotels and provided a number - not sure if theirs even an "opt-out" section on the registration form...hmmmm) . They usually call from (02) 4222 3000 but will call from other extensions if you block this one. They're trying to sell you time shares. They usually take you off their call list if you ask. Hope this helps.
