Called at 8:30 am on a Saturday morning. Unknown number. Overly bright and cheerful. Knew my name and said they were call "due to your recent internet activity". They wouldn't listen to anything I asked, just kept reading from a script.

Called on a Saturday morning. Wary of all numbers not familiar to me. Glad I didn’t answer. Confirmed scam call via this site. Thanks.

The first of several calls, calling me by the first name, saying I had registered my details on an internet site and had won a grand holiday for 2 to Florida in the United States and congratulations. When I asked which company she was from, or which site, she got a little cagey and just said that it was definitely legitimate, even though calls were coming from Florida, they were routed to an Australian number. If she was legitimate, she would have been forthcoming with details when asked.

Knew my name, e-mail address, and date of birth and said they were calling "due to your recent internet activity". I had apparently entered a holiday competition sponsored by Disney and won (which I had entered a competition). Big script of where I was going and what it was worth and I could claim by paying a registration fee of $244 per person for each of the adults in USD. They claim to know my credit card details - 16 digits staring with a 4 and if I gave them the first 4 numbers they could confirm I was the correct prize winner (don't all aussie credit cards have 16 digits starting with a 4)

Knew my name and date of birth said they were call "due to your recent internet activity" that I had registered for a competition and won but I had to pay a registration fee to claim my prize. Claim it was sponsored by Disney and could list a number of places in Florida USA my prize entitled my travel to, but wanted my credit card number to progress my prize. Really hope I didn't just hang up on a real win :-(
