I wonder if other people getting calls from these numbers are listing on gumtree.com.au because each time I list on gumtree these calls start. When I have nothing on gumtree then I don't get these calls for weeks but the minute I post another item and allow my number to be shown on the ad, the calls start up again.

Asking me to pay bill in advance and they will give back 50% of it. Apparently “my company” in debt. I asked them whether they know who they are talking to. He said he doesnt know. He asked if i have any outstanding bills which not paid! lol i said i work for police force. He hang up

The above was the sms I received somehow they know I have an account with NAB..could be a guess too!!

Surprisingly, they WhatsApp'd me on a landline number, when i asked who is this, called me few hours later, I will call later and confirm who they are.

Yep scam 100%, from Wollongong. Same story as above suss from the billing department, I said from what company then he started yelling in Indian. Told him couldn’t understand a word he was saying and to piss off.

Also odd coz I had just listed something on gumtree that day, never had issues with gumtree before.

Had a call from this number from Wollongong but bumped it off mainly because I've also been receiving a spat of automated calls lately also from NSW claiming to be Amazon telling me they are taking money from my bank account. I don't even have an account with Amazon. They are also targeting my mobile via Viber but when I looked into it, it's not easy to block from that platform. They are being relentless right now! Simplest solution is don't answer a call if you don't recognise the number. If it's someone legitiment, they will leave a message or send a text.

Just pick up the call and start abusing as much as you can cause this is a sure scam. Always comes up when I post something on gumtree btw so maybe that's where they get their data from?

This bitch named aisha ( indian) speaks in indi has called me at least every day from start of 2021 and says she gives 30% off on bills. requested her not to call anymore and not interested in service but keeps harassing.

They tried to call me two times. I rejected their calls.

First call there was two guys laughing then hung up, They called me back straight away and the caller asked me if i spoke Hindi, i said no, he then started to speed off some deal so i just hung up, He called back telling me off, I adv him if he is selling something to be more professional

I work reception at a local NGO, this number called from NSW, (we are in the NT) and begun speaking either in another language or with a very heavy accent. After I asked them to repeat themselves, or that I couldn't understand them a few times they hung up.
