Listened to voicemail message left by computer voice in an American accent "stay safe and stay home". I'm thinking a scam - will block the number. Could be a way to inspire confidence in the number for future scam calls. The message did not identify Australian Government or anything.

Caller: 'Jack'

Caller said the federal government had recently changed energy legislation and he wanted to compare energy providers for me to see if I could get a better deal and 'save up to X amount of dollars every year'. I told him I lived in WA where there is only one energy provider i.e. no competition, and he told me that I lived in NSW, to which I responded 'no, I live in WA' and he then hung up on me. Very rude, typical telemarketing garbage.

This number reported as being from Newcastle, NSW. I called back in case it was important and was put on hold. There was classical piano music and a recorded message asked me to wait for the next available agent. Eventually the call was terminated but not by me.

Have non stopped calling me for 3 days now all hours

I called back number (02) 4067 5000 reached voice mail but did not say for what company.
