I have received about 10 calls from the company, each time I refused to allow them to visit me. I have reported them to the ASIC scam watch site.

I just got a call from these guys too, and I dealt with them the same way that I deal with all Indian scam artists. I start talking really quietly so that they turn up their volume or press the earpiece to their ear - and then I blast them with the whistle I keep next to the phone. It guarantees that they never call again, and I have the pleasure of knowing that I just caused them some physical pain for their trouble.

This number called me claiming I'd done a survey. Odd thing was that they knew much more about me than a run of the mill type scam call would have. I mean everything about me, my address, my profession, my mobile number etc. So they must have gotten the info from a legit source. They wanted to visit to give me this super free tax advice. Wouldnt post it. Looked up the company Max Benefit Solutions and came across this site with numerous complaints from this number and others under the same name or similar. Told the bloke not to bother. He tried to talk over me each time. Ultimately told him I'd looked his company up and it didnt exist. No ABN no AFSL etc. Told him again not to bother. He said no worries and call was ended. I'm very curious as to where he got the accurate info from though.

Wikipedia and ACMA both show area code 06 as invalid - unallocated. All calls from 06 numbers are scams and now on my blocked list. They have been quite active this month.

Called me this afternoon, and I am also on the do not call register. They asked if I had roof top solar. I asked who they were. Can't recall the response but once I informed them I was on the register she apologised and said goodbye.

Surely these Indians have real jobs over there. Are they taught at school to be spam merchants. Getting sick of these calls. Answered once,realised spam mongrels. Don't answer

Received a call from them today, they have called multiple times and politely told them to piss off.

They called me and I said I was not interested in buying whatever they were selling. They then called back six times over the next two hours screaming abuse and rape threats at me. It was horrible.

I remember this from quite a while back. One of the business names used by the Indian call centre Information Management Services (IMS) is a fake name and is different to the legitimate business Info Management Services of Raglan St South Melbourne. This business no longer exists, and had nothing to do with the call centre. This lead by you will go nowhere.
What happens is the IMS call centre will initially contact you and gather information from you, then at some time later will call you back to make an appointment for you with a legitimate business here in Australia, with your tentative consent. If the contact manages to get this far then it should be possible to get the details of this legitimate Australian business that would be in breach of the Do Not Call legislation, and then pass on these details to ACMA in your complaint. Then ACMA may be able to take some action against this business.

I am not with Optus on any phone but have received multiple calls. Their information is not too accurate on me but I was not going to correct it for them.

Have had issues with home phone. Telstra very helpful & diverted to my work # as it is faulty & not allowing incoming calls. Within 1 minute I received a call from 06 8546 9856 but didn't answer as the area Code made no sense.
Thanks to all for logging this # as a Scammer #. I'll ignore.

Annoying and frustrating. Tempted to use a high pitch whistle to give them a literal earful.

We have had so many calls from this number, a Indian girls asking me "Are you working people or not working people" I told her "It none of your business don't call us again please"
Then she hung up on me with no word.

Then today again we reecived a call from this number with the same Indian girl who I beleive.

These guys have rung every day for the last 3 weeks. They said they were doing a survey from EQR in south Melbourne. I said I didn't want to take part and hung up.
Another call from them they asked if I had solar panels. If I let the answering machine answer they never leave a message.

On the Do Not Call register but still keep getting multiple calls from this number. All are hang ups and they cannot be called back. Is it possible to block this number?

Now there's a dodgy looking number if I ever saw one... (06)?? Wtf? Doesn't exist in Oz! :P
