Scam call. Caller pretended to conduct a quiz and, after 25 minutes, hung up abruptly. Shocked to find two charges on my bill which totalled over $100! Negotiated with Telstra to remove the charges. Blocked further calls from this number by send text 'STOP'.

Caller: No Call but a competition on Facebook supposedly for Aldi Supermarket This number came up once I was told that I had won a $500 Aldi Gift Voucher. I was suspicious so I didn't go any further. Once I checked the number on the "Reverse Australia" website I was alerted that it was a scam. I have now blocked this number from being able to call me

My elderly parents just got a $99 charge on their phone bill that they had no idea about. When I looked into it, they’d answered a call from this number promising they’d win $500 if they answered some questions. 25 minutes later after the questions went on and on they hung up. Next thing you know..$99 bill. Total scam!!

Caller: Unknown Over the past 3 months we have been billed for 1900 "information" calls. Last month we queried it with Telsta and received our $37.82 back. This month the bill came with a $98.87 (!!!!!!) charge. Messaged Telstra and they fixed it again and asked them to block any future calls.
Thank you Telstra for being so helpful with this. We will be sure to continue monitoring our phone bills in future (after saving $130+ why wouldn't you!?)

i pay my elderly mothers phone bill...... and she never made calls to this number. she must have answered one. i have been billed 99.01$ and a $2.86 one. both occurring at the same time. currently on hold with OPTUS to rectify. It pays to check the numbers on your phone bill.

Caller: Facebook Scam This number is a fake 'Woolworths' guessing competition that offers you a prize for answering questions. The little bar, that shows your progress, as you answer kept subtly moving backwards in order to keep you on the line. $92 plus an $8 surcharge. SCAM!

Telstra agreed to refund the charge and block the number. Telstra said premium numbers were on all landline phones within Australia. What the ..... ?!

THIS IS A SCAM. Do not call or answer any calls from this number I too was scammed on the 30th December for $99.01. After a couple of calls to Telstra who were very helpful at first by refunding me $50. Then after doing some research my self Telstra refunded the whole amount and blocked the number for me so they cannot contact me again.
