scam (computer lock out)

Caller: ‘Michael’

Computer froze, and this number popped up claiming to be a helpline. They claimed to be from Microsoft, and scammed my grandmother out of thousands of dollars by stealing bank details and trying to convince her to buy and send them gift cards. Scam caller would repeatedly claim the phone line was breaking up and call back on a different phone number, going through 17 different phone numbers, all starting with 0403.

Yep this number is a major scam. I got conned, cannot stress how careful u must be when on you r online

Windows Defender, said my computer has been hacked. Gave the number on screen 1800 943 569 When I rang they tried to talk me through resolving the issue.. It's dawn on me this could be a scam because there was a Cockrell crowing in the background. Thanks. Chicken.

Caller: No one

Phone number on Microsoft Defender Alert scam message on PC, claiming that a Trojan had stolen identity, and saying don't switch off or reboot, call this number for Microsoft Defender Support immediately.

Spam

Asking me not to restart my pc as it has been infected with a Trojan Spyware and some data has been compromised. Please contact microsoft helpline on 1800 943 569.
