i received numerous calls from this number wanting to check my Telstra account details. i didn't believe them. i told them this. Then i received a letter with same phone number. This looked legitimate but was still skeptical. i called Telstra usimng generic customer service 132200. They said if you are skeptical then always call 132200 instead of other numbers provided to you. BTW - they checked the number 1800 928 214 was a legitimate internal number for Telstra. so yes this number seems safe.

They send a message about your details needing to be updated then will call you later in the day.
I did not trust the message and called up tesltra, turned out it was real. Just a new system and can confirm it isn't a scam.

They call at least 2times a day,telling me they are from Telstra and they want to check my details.

Daughter has received the texts asking her to ring them back - I rang the number and it cut out after the normal Telstra message about recording. Dodgy much, so I rang 132200 to check for her what the issue is and they said there is no record on her file of any messages being sent other than for data usage. She told me that number IS NOT a Telstra number. DO NOT answer it as it is a scam

I just got off the phone with Telstra and they told me 1800 928 214 is NOT a Telstra number and that it is a scam - they advised to block the number to prevent it from contacting you in future, which is what I am going to do

The text message comes from the same number from other text messages I received from Telstra.

We are having the same calls, I called Telstra who gave me the same number but impossible for them to tell me what department it was.
Is this have to do with Telstra being disconnected from my area in September... Some kind of survey or whatsoever? What is the point of updating details on new system if pretty soon we won't be client of Telstra...
looking pretty weird to me guys
