Getting texts from someone claiming to be anz telling me I'm in arrears with my mortgage, might look closer if I had a mortgage.

It’s definitely not ANZ number at all!!!

Every fortnight Monday I receive same text message stating that Im late with my mortgage repayments. Which im totally ahead, I have paid more in advance & they threaten by stating that I’ll he reported to credit body & I won’t be able to get credit in the future. ANZ NEVER SEND TEXT MESSAGES THREATENING CUSTOMERS! Beware for the 1800 number they tell you to contact them on is on Google shows up first but look into it properly. Very sneaky mongrels out there trying their best to suck & scam many with their low life tactics.

This is a legitimate ANZ number

Caller: Scammer

Arrived via email. Called them and they claimed to be ANZ, but were scammers.

Caller: It was supposedly ANZ bank

They wanted my details when they called me with voice operated details about my name when I asked to call them back they gave 1800 888 410 and said it was on the website which it was wasn’t so I called Anz bank and waited to tell them re the scam would never give my details to a random caller without verification of them please do the same

Caller: "Sanal"

Was apparently calling from ANZ regarding a personal banking matter for a colleague. I'm at reception for my work. I called the number back, an automated message said "Thank you for calling ANZ. Please hold while we retrieve your banking details" then I hung up. I don't think it is legitimate as a bank shouldn't be retrieving any banking details without permission in my point of view..

Getting texts from this mobile claiming to be ‘ANZ’ telling me I'm in arrears with my mortgage. Given I don’t have a mortgage with ANZ consider this to be a potential scam.
