Caller: Scam attempt

Computer Locked and an on screen message with Widows Defender and Microsoft logos alerted that Trojan Spyware had been detected directed that the user contact Microsoft (Windows Support AU) on 1800 867 205

Tried to extort money from me.

this person scammed my mother out of $1450. Do not answer or call back !!!!!!!!

Scam attempt. Comtuter locked for security reason - message on screen saying about Trojan Spyware- call Apple Support 1800 867 205.

Alerted by onscreen message that Trojan Spyware has been detected - claimed to be from Mac OS. Responded and have Anydeck scammer on iMac computer. Now faced with the difficult task of ridding it !

I had the same message yesterday. Computer Locked and an on screen message with Widows Defender and Microsoft logos alerted that Trojan Spyware had been detected directed that the user contact Microsoft (Windows Support AU) on 1800 867 205. I called and the operator was so full of accent that I could hardly understand. He kept telling me not to switch off my laptop. Kept saying my laptop was hacked and I would lose all data. He asked for my contact phone number as he would get an "expert" to help me to solve the problem. I still not sure if it was genuine or scam. I went along. This other man had similar accent and started to tell me to download a program called Askdesk.com. I was starting to get suspicious and hang up the phone, disconnect my laptop, switch off NBN and modem for a while. My laptop seemed to be back to normal.

On PC screen: Claimed to be Windows Defender finding a Trojan. Phone Win Security on this number!
