Caller: scam on computer

Pop up appeared on our Apple computer after clinking a link on facebook. There was a "so called"Apple support number attached 1800 865 120) which we foolishly called. Netcom IT services, supposedly based in Perth claimed that our IP address had been comprised by pedophilias and drug dealers. Anyway long story short, we got scammed by them to fix our computer. Only when we goggled the support number did we realise we had been had.

They freeze your computer with malware (inserted if you click on some links in Facebook) Then they demand money (in my case US$300) to fix your computer. Also call themselves Focus Repair - Best Tech Support. I believe they are in 96 Hay Street Perth WA

I'm the biggest idiot, they got me twice, once in October and again last night. Too late for October and that was the big one and after reading these I have contacted my bank cancelled my credit card and changed passwords on bank and on paypal. Hopefully it has been in enough time to stop them getting the money.

SCAM SCAM SCAM Foolishly paid them. A younger person would have known better.

I clicked on a site in Facebook and a loud message appeared on the screen saying I had a virus and to ring 1800 865 120 to fix it. The volume on my machine was turned fully up and couldn't be turned down. I tried turning the machine off at the switch but no go. I rang the number and after being instructed to press control R they took control and fixed it. Following this I had to electronically sign a contract and was billed $529 or $750.The contract is with TECHEXPERTOS EUROPE SL of Ronda Sant Pere 52 4P 08010 Barcelona Spain. It appears it is the usual SCAM coverage for 5 years and the invoice was from Netcom It Service 926 Hay St Perth WA 6000. I looked up this this number on satellite and it is a comic shop. Be careful folks.

we also got scammed by this number, in early April, and foolishly believed it, were told our computer was infected, and they could deal with it. Company also based in Perth. Luckily for us , we went away the next day and turned the computer off at the wall, when we came home there was a recorded call on our telephone from Kim to see if our computer was working correctly, so I rang the number she provided and found out it was a scam, so had to change an account, the lucky thing was, we do NOT do internet banking, and have now learnt what to do in the future. Apparently they are based in Singapore.. I now know why I don't trust anyone on the phone with an Indian accent..

It seems that I have been scammed, this same scenario (anonymous March 5, 2019) , different name, happened to me evening of 20th April 2019. They seemed to fix the problem but I was left feeling uneasy with the whole deal, and it appears justly so.

Today, 21st April 2019, I am about to ring my Bank hotline to cancel the card used and put a hold on the payment.

Caller: Had a pop on computer which stopped me from opening it and told to phone 1800 865 120

I rang and got jimmy kashuba. He said I could pay so much for one year, a bit more for two and $700 for lifetime security and support. So I did this and he asked to get on to my computer so he could tidy it up. I did this but afterwards I felt concerned.
I then got an account for $700 in email and $988.26 was taken from my account. I then noticed the account was USD price. This morning I got a phone call from somebody who wanted my bank account so they could refund money I had paid but I wouldn't do it...so they got angry and hung up. In the meantime I rang Bank and they cancelled credit card and amount of $988.26. I tried to email the email addresses but these were returned. ie. billing @ netcomitservice.com; support @ netcomitservice.com. I also looked up 926 Hay Street, Perth, WA which was on the invoice and this is a house but no details on property.
