Caller: SCAMMER 1800 841 430

I received a PayPal invoice for $499 from Xero for Norton 360 subscription.

I rang the 1800 841 430 telephone number to complain.
A voice message tried to connect me to a California phone number +1 209 864 3968.

I hung up and they tried to call me back but I did not answer.
Phone number now blocked.

Caller: A pretend XERO address, but quotes an invoice numver on behalf of PayPal Australia

A scammer puporting to be selling Norton*360 for $Au499.99. Comes in as an email fraom a fake XERO address, with PayPal Australia as the client and quites a fake invoice number and a link no doubt to download something really nasty and it gives the 1800 841 430 telephone number on how to instal Nortons 360 (which I have never used).

Do NOT clink on the link. Black list such emails and delete them ASAP.

Yep, just had the exact same email come through. A 3-year renewal subscription - Never used Norton in my life, but a very convincing scam.

Don't call the number, don't log anything.

Here's more on the scam recently:

Absolute SCAM. they will send you an email that your Norton subscription has been renewed for 3 years and $499 has been charged.

I called them for a refund and they said I need to download www.anydesk.com software to process a refund. This is when I got suspicious and hung up the phone.

The invoice link was opened and number was called… nothing else was given etc. does anyone know what to do from here? Number has been blocked, emails deleted. Usually very switched on when it comes to scams but used Norton when we had computers and kids running around, so made a mistake. Please help :(
