A message popped up on my computer saying it was infected with a virus and to call 1800 791 148. I did and an Indian guy answered asking me to key in www.supremofree.com which leads to a website and asked me to download the program which allows them remote access to my computer to clean my "infected computer"....What rubbish!! (Fortunately, I was googling the website at the same time and found out it may be a scam too!) He seemed quite adamant...and insisted that my computer was definitely infected... I Didn't download and said I didn't want it anymore. He said that if I called back the same number, I will be charged for their service. I declined... Then I found this link which said that it was a scam... http://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2013/11/fake-tech-support-scam-is-trouble-for-legitimate-remote-help-company/ Hope this helps..

Just had this too. Pop up says that virus cannot be found by normal methods. Gives impression that Microsoft scan had found the virus. Not game to call the number. Will get my tech guy to have a look.

My husbands workplace received Trojan virus notification on Friday 5:00pm he rang this number and parted with $ to get the anti virus protection. Hours later I did a "dispute transaction" I how the bank pursues it and advised the bank fraud team of this suspect scam so they can prevent any further transactions. High tech world is robbing people of their security and hard earned money.

'Johny', this phone number leads to fraudsters running a money theft scam from India. Your name and message both look fake.

My sister-in-law had a message appear on her laptop telling her that her PC had been infected. She called that number, and a man told her that he would keep her PC clean if she paid him. He had remote access to her computer and commented on the nice house showing on her desktop, and drew a red line around her car that was also in the photo. She noticed that "Remote Access" was enabled on her computer, which was probably how could get control. She has since disabled Remote access. What a Scam!
