SMS from 0468 698 319 saying to call 1800 531 779 to verify identity. Unusual activity noticed on PayPal. DELETE SMS & do NOT respond. This is a SCAM.

I had a text message claiming a transfer had been made and to call this number to stop or dispute payment - also claimed to be AU Paypal

I received from "AU-PAYPAL on 09/28 at 4:48" the following text message: "You have sent 1700.00AUD to Intellect info Systems LLC. on 22/09/28, UID#8711037YT289. For Dispute or stop Payment , Dial +61 - 1800 531 779 Immediately." It was confirmed by the phone call directly to PAYPAL (not the number from the message) as SPAM message.
