I received a text message from +962779246708, purporting to be from PayPal Australia. It advised me that there was a suspicious transaction in the sum of A$495.50 to 'Cloud Infrastructure Hub', and asking me to ring the 1800 number (a hyperlink). The text was addressed to 'Dear PayPal customer', and appeared legitimate. I checked my actual accounts - no transaction showing. Obviously a scam.

Caller: +917984306054 I received a text message stating it was from PayPal Australia - Customer Protection Team starting off with Dear Valued User. Stating a transaction of $510 was made to Streamline Media Services and asked to call 1800 371 773 to cancel transaction. I checked all my Paypal account, and no transaction was recorded so obviously a scam.

Caller: Paypal I had the exact same message and checked my Paypal..nothig.. Number originated from the middle east!

Looks like a few of us got the same message here. Checked my PayPal account and no such record. Obviously a scam.
