Said he was from NBN and that he could see my computer details as it was compromised, needed to act immediately. I hung up he phoned back 3 times, I asked for a number to phone him he gave 1800 367 368 and an ID475869 to prove who he was. I asked him to screen shot if he could see my details and email me, he then hung up. Its a SCAM

A woman called Rosie Jones said she was Australian Broadband wanted to up security as 3rd party was using our ip address.kept asking when to ring back

Claimed they were telstra

the same thing happened to me they said there was a security issue with my NBN and would keep calling back until i learned to them. I said give me a telephone number and they gave 1800 367 368 and reference number D362414 - then hung up.

Called saying there was a refund from Amazon Prime.Wanted details to deposit money to a Weston Union account. Total scam

Claiming he was from NBN with Indian accent***Scam**** hand up immediately called on a private no.

Told me third party was accessible to my IP address and download team viewer so they could access my phone.

Caller: "Kevin Wilson" from "NBN"

I get several of these calls every day now. All the callers sound Indian. They say they are from the NBN and they've detected hackers getting into my system. They tell all the usual lies, misrepresenting what the netstat command does, or eventviewer, etc. They all work to getting me to install Anydesk or Teamviewer software on my machine (which I don't do, of course) - so they can control my computer remotely. The big joke is that at the start of the call they tell me they're contacting me to protect me from hackers and scammers!

Sometimes you can call their bluff immediately by asking for the NBN number to call back on. Sometimes they hang up, sometimes they give you this number. You can google NBN and find their real contact number!

I was told he was from NBN and other people were using my info. Phone Number supplied not connected, surprise, surprise.
The call started as a computer generated voice.

A women called saying she was from NBN and that my ip address was public and third parties were using it. She could not tell me my ip address. I asked to call back and she gave this number. I did not call back and googled the number. Clearly a scam.

Kevin Wilson- ID#d200125- 100 Mount St, Nth Sydney 2060 called me today to say there are security issues with my NBN and my personal details being accessed from overseas. He asked me to switch on my computer to check. I replied I would call my provider and check with them.

Said they were NBN. When I tried the number that came up on caller ID it said number not in service.
I also asked for a number to call them back and gave a 1800 number and when
I called, guess what , number not in service. .

Claimed to be Telstra and computer needed more security. Options to press for more info. I pressed "4" and was connected to a lady who she was from Telstra, 282 Exhibition Street, Melbourne. Name Eva Wilson, phone no. 1800 367 368/">1800 367 368, her employee number is D239867. I called 1800 367 368 and was told it is not connected.

Claimed computer had internet problems and would be disconnected for 1 hour.

Claimed to be from Telstra and that there was a problem with my internet and that a 3rd party was accessing my IP address

Caller: Claimed to be telstra

Assuming a call centre, lots of background noise.
