I must say, the bastards are bloody persistent. I've had five text messages from them since the beginning of July 2023, it's now Late August.
QML pathology. Who I have never used.

Received the QML text message. If this is a legitimate manner of notifying for an outstanding amount then it is stupid in this day and age. Called the number and the guy got pissed off that I refused to provide any identifying information about myself and said to go to QML myself to verify my identity and then call them back. Sure thing, I will go out of my way for a potential scammer. Seriously, if you want me to pay a bill you will need to do better than a dodgy text message on par with the toll text messages I also receive.

The number is not a scam. I received same txt with link as everyone else. I contacted Laverty Pathology direct using the number of their website (02) 9005 7000. They confirmed this is how their bills are settled. If you click the pay my bill button on their website, it lists this 1800 number if you have any questions.

Received this message today: "Your QML Pathology invoice for $100.00 is due. To view and pay, click https:/ebill.healius.com.au/t/s/PEV????? Questions? Call us on 1800 350 046". Suspicious of the debt claim we called QML (we used 1800 677 491) and after speaking with QML Accounts found that we did owe $100 as a recent blood test was not covered under Medicare. They also said QML have only recently started sending bill reminders by text message. We requested an email copy of the bill which we will respond to. Suggest anyone receiving a text message like we did, contact QML rather than treating it as a Scam. The Helius Pathology network incorporates QML, Laverty and some others...

SCAM

I did have a test from the period these scammer starts the sms. The phone number and web page was setup using genuine lab/laverty info (address/ image ...)
When calling the 1800 number the person can not provide any info but just ask for personal info Or push you for the pmt. They cannot continue the discussion without me giving them my personal info but they very happy to just procced the pmt without any further clarification LOL

Dorevitch Labs do not have a 1800 number listed for contact on their web page. Besides, if they are Invoicing then they can email the Invoice/ Statement DO NOT RESPOND TO THE TEXT SMS MESSAGE

I thought this was a scam going by all the comments but when you google Dorevitch and click on Pay my bill, it says the following:
Receiving a bill from us
If we have a mobile phone number for you, we’ll send you an SMS with a secure link for you to be able to download a copy of your invoice. To access the invoice you’ll be prompted to enter the postcode that was part of your address on the request form.

If we don’t have a mobile phone number for you, we’ll send the invoice via post.

You can change your preferences for how you receive your invoice at any time, or get help with your invoice, by calling our Accounts team on 1800 350 046 during business hours.

Caller: TEXT from Pathology

Received text from Pathology in October advising of bill from Dorevitch. I checked 1800 350 046 in Reverse Phone Australia and saw the messages that number was a scam so deleted text. Received another today from Pathology so called Dorevitch landline (03) 9244 0444 after typing URL included in text into my laptop which is from Helius which is parent company for many different Pathology labs.. The URL returned a Dorevitch Invoice. I checked my Medicare claims and this service had not been claimed. The invoice was legitimate for the date charged as I had this pathology test previously and it isn't payable through Medicare. Person I spoke to said Dorevitch is now sending invoices via text as I had previously received a hard copy. She did give option of sending future invoices via hard copy/email/text. I proceeded to pay invoice through my bank as I didn't want to give this person my details

Not a scam, it's billing for out of pocket pathology tests. Healius is the umbrella company for a few brands such as WDP, Dorevich etc.
