they sent me a text saying i tried to make a paypal transaction for 350 dollars, i dont even have paypal, it may be a scam

Caller: Paypal I had similar today (20Jul26). I verified using my paypal account and went into my bank account and closed all transfer balances to zero. I am waiting for my bank to call me back. But I believe it was legitimate and they had several charges from Germany and Canada which they (Paypal) rejected. fingers crossed

SMS message received from number +33 7 54 83 61 73, this number was in the message body area 1800 320 715. Checked PayPay Acc messages - nothing to show this happened, more than likely a scam !!!? their SMS is as below:
Urgent — Immediate Verification Required
Dear PayPaI Customer,
We have detected a transaction attempt of A$500.00 for "Cloud Infrastructure Hosting" (Transaction ID: 5560-1299-4402-9981) via your account.
If this transaction was not performed by you, it is critical that you contact us immediately at +61 1800 320 715. Our team will assist you in blocking further attempts and securing your account details against unauthorized access. If you authorized this transaction, please disregard this automated notification.

Caller: 1800 320 715 Just got an URGENT message to contact Paypal about a suspicious transaction. Don't have Paypal, don't buy stuff online. The from number is +12514652242. The number in the message to call is 1800 320 715. Googled it and it only came up with this page for the 1800 number. Clearly it's a scam!
