Number appears on computer with warning message on screen regarding virus and update and 'Do Not Turn Off' warnings. It is a scam and if you click on it and follow the istructions it will install malware and god knows what. Call you tech guru instead.

Scare tactics - not Microsoft at all. Google how to get to "task manager" using your phone, then return to your PC and choose "end task" after identifying the active "culprit"

Called and spoke to a "David Williams". After a while, I concluded he was angling to sell me security software. Said his company worked for Microsoft but he hung up when I started asking for more detail. I was sucked in for a while
