message appeared on my laptop, saying a threat had been detected, and that access had been blocked. Message said to call Microsoft Windows Support 1800 311 835

Whilst using facebook. Message appeared on my screen claiming to be from "Windows Defender" that I was being hacked and to call this number for Microsoft support. Beware !!!!!

A message on my laptop to call. When I did, Indian scammers!!!!

On FB and TROJAN LOCKER warning came up, couldn't get off that screen. Help off button down then on/off/on/off etc until computer turned off. Reopened still connected to internet and it was still there. Have worked out to turn computer off (as above) leave internet, turn on computer and leave FB page then reconnect to internet and all fixed. That''s what worked for here. Also rang 1800 311 835 as per TROJAN screen and Indian female that it was microsoft help, led her on for a while and hung up. SCAMMERS !!

I was caught. Nearly cost me $20k. They did not send me a link. Like others, I had a notification through Facebook, supposedly from Microsoft Support to call 1800 311 835. Beware.

Had the screen on my computer freeze and was told to call this number. They were not nice and knew nothing about computers. Also not the actual Microsoft number! I refused to do as they asked and just hung up - all of a sudden my computer was fine and I had full control. Would highly recommend just calling Microsoft themselves direct.

I called but quickly hung up as this could be a scam. I turned my computer off and waited for a few minutes, and my computer returned to normal. The cause of this was logging into FB.

Same people called me , scamers pretending to be Microsoft

This also happened to me. I called the number and they explained that they would need to install another version of Microsoft defender. They are not Microsoft support. I noticed that the link that they had provided in order to gain remote access to my laptop looked like the password for my Facebook account that had been hacked.

It is a scam. Send him a virus and get my money back.
