A message on my laptop to call. When I did, Indian scammers!!!!

Whilst using facebook. Message appeared on my screen claiming to be from "Windows Defender" that I was being hacked and to call this number for Microsoft support. Beware !!!!!

A message on my laptop said a threat had been detected and access would be blocked. The message says call Microsoft Windows Support on 1800 311 835. I called but quickly hung up as this could be a scam. I turned my computer off and waited for a few minutes, and my computer returned to normal. The cause of this was logging into FB.

Same people called me , scamers pretending to be Microsoft

This also happened to me. I called the number and they explained that they would need to install another version of Microsoft defender. They are not Microsoft support. I noticed that the link that they had provided in order to gain remote access to my laptop looked like the password for my Facebook account that had been hacked.

It is a scam. Send him a virus and get my money back.
