Sends a text message saying they’re from PayPal Australia, The message states they’re looking for authorisation of a given amount from your PayPal account. This is not PayPal’s phone number and it arrived on Saturday when PayPal is closed. THIS IS A SCAM.

got a text message from rlong @ hcc.net, it claims that my Paypal account has suspicious activity. They said to contact the 1800 number they provided if the transaction is not recognised. I didn't call the number as I searched on the internet to match the number with Paypal and was unable to. This is a scam!!!

Caller: 1800 310 395 I received a similar text at 2pm June 27 2026. I did call the number and a random male with an accent answered with hello then a long pause when I didn’t say anything then continued with saying it was PayPal. Very much a scam I’m sure 🤦🏻♀️🤬
