BEWARE!! SCAMS!!
A lady named Shelly Adams rang and send a fax proof while I was away, regarding advertisement in Aussie Kids News. She rang again today to follow up on the proof. When I told her I could not recall speaking to anyone regarding this particular ad she responded that her record indicated that some one had spoken to me 3 months ago and I had agreed to sign on the ad and had asked her to call me again later with the proof. When I tried to turn it down she turned nasty and said a space was reserved for me following previous conversation and being so close to publication too late for me to back out. Anyway she sent me another fax and I did a search on ABN number, came up with long list of similar scams and complaints under previous number of 1800 152 630. Anyway all same ABN but different trading names. BEWARE!!

Still pretending to be a legit publishing company trying to sell advertising

They will also send out bogus ad proofs, invoices and photocopied magazines

Similar story as what Don said. Said someone spoke to me late last year- Nov.I can't remember speaking to one. And obviously I won't approve an advert over the phone unless I am insane. Sent me invoice with proof of ad. Our logo on the proof was obtained from the web. Fuzzy looking logo. Would you have advertised with them if you have not forward them your logo? They said our logo is everywhere on the web so they came up with the proof by copy and paste our logo from the web!!! That showed how dodgy they are.
