Said The number was to be rung and to quote a number and was from DebtManagers but the text itself came from a telstra number 0419 537 463 If you are using an Android phone you can forward scam texts to Telstra on 7226. Then I recommend you block and delete at number.

Should you know the whereabouts of so and so, please call us back on 1800 218 774 and ask for assistance. So fake and not governmental at all! All in black writing except name and reference number starting with A _ _ _ _ _. Scam. Please don’t fall for it.

Saw a man at the front of our house through the camera, banging on the door, asking for me.
Didn't say where from, then left a piece of paper, saying,
" This address has been visited by a member of our team - Aaron "
" Urgent response to this message required. "
" Please phone 1800 218 774 or 0420 199 245 "
It also has a quote case number.
Man was wearing all black, with green shield logo on vest, and no name.
His car had green shield on it too.

Plus their envelope has an address for a company that does mailouts. Not an office of that business

Ducked out to run some errands, came back to a letter in our mailbox. Opened it up and it reads: "Should you know the whereabouts of PHEBO KARL, please telephone 1800 218 774 and ask for assistance" followed by a code of sorts similar to other reports. The business is real. They're a debt collector in Eight Mile Plains but from this letter they seem really dodgy. Don't contact them by any means and report the number to scamwatch

Got a letter in my letter box addressed to “the occupier”
Letter asking if I know the whereabouts of so and so and if I do to call a 1800 number and quote a number starting in a capital A.
Letter is in black writing except for the person they are asking for also the number to quote, they are both in red. I’m tempted to ring just to see what’s going on

I just got a letter the same today! Glad you had mentioned on here, same phone number asking if I know the whereabouts of a flatmate h that lives here to call that 2800 number. They even put his middle name which I didn’t know. . Then it says to ask for assistance. With a number in red under that s A101953

I received the same, freaky how a scammer could know the full name including middle name of one of the house mates.

Left a letter in my letterbox saying if I know a certain person to ring the number and quote another number on the letter. Was very unprofessional, like no address, email or company name.
I'm sure it's a scam. I ain't ringing it up.
Where do they get our name and addresses from. Bloody hell

Scammers going door to door and around the back of the house too. Hand writing on a green and black card with a number to quote and to call Naval on 0425 193 565. No name of company, urgent response required call 1800 024 158. Dodgy AF

Entered a private property, without permission, which is trespassing, especially by “fake debt collectors” Left a note to call. ABN is invalid, postal address doesn’t belong to them, the physical address is invalid. This matter will now be reported to ASIC, ATO and Police for trespassing.
