NO MESSAGE.
I NEVER ANSWER CALLS THAT LEAVE NOTHING.

I’ve been getting multiple calls from this number daily for weeks and I have blocked it but I get a msg to say they still call. I’m on the DNC register. I did call back initially and had a Chinese recording play. Hope it stops.

Has been calling all day, at least five times so far. Doesn’t leave a message and then hangs up if I answer. Can’t call back either. From all the messages here I assumed it was PayPal but hanging up when I answer seems very dodgy. Going to block.

Caller: Maybe PayPal, Maybe Scam, unsure

Received a call from a No Caller ID first thing this morning. I answered it thinking it was a coworker.
Call played a quick recording, and then a rather aggressive woman identified herself by name and staff ID number, said she's calling from PayPal, and then immediately asked "are you [first name and surname]?"
I've heard about scams that get you to say "yes that is me", so I said "it depends"
She was very aggressive and said "well this is X from PayPal, I need to speak to [my name], is that you?"
So I hung up.
I checked my PayPal and my balance was in fact negative.
I rectified the situation by adding money to my account, but I have also received 3 more calls since this morning from the number I have searched and entered this comment for.

I legitimately had a negative balance on my PayPal, but the calls are still coming. Not answering because I am unsure of them.

Have rung 3 times in past few hours. 01800 162 432 isn't a legit number. +61 is Australia. How does someone get 01800 ??? Paypal account all good, so must be a scam.

If the number that’s calling you has a zero in front of it, ie, 01800 162 432, then it is PayPal. Under the phone number it said “Australia”.
This was a follow up call to a message we’d sent to them.

I blocked them kept calling several times a day.

Repetitive, relentless calls everyday for a few weeks now! Most of the tone the phone rings maybe 2-3 times then hangs up. When I answered I heard nothing, but I didn’t speak. Listening for clues! Blocked these annoying trolls.

Calling my daughter on face time -- Scam

Claimed to be from Paypal Clearly scam had the wrong name and all. Stated an ID number to try to add creadence to his claims.

Caller: 1800 162 432

Call 2-3 times, same day. Didn't answer but can see that it's a spam number from this forum.

this number calls 4 times a day for about 3 weeks now!

when i answer it then hangs up or if i ignore the call or block number it somehow goes through to my voicemail so i have 1 unheard voicmail however there is no message there

Caller: PayPal Collections

I rang Paypal myself through their app after i received a call from the above number. It is their collection agency but what we found out, Me and Paypal that my identity was stolen but i am in the clear. So now, they are following up a bogus Paypal account that used my details.. WOW.. i hope they get to the bottom of this...
But yeah, they are legit

Called asking for my paypal password and other identifying information.
Might have been more convincing if they got my name right.

Just got a missed call from this number, it seems that a payment didn’t process on my PayPal coincidentally. Maybe it is real?
Didn’t leave a message for me though.

Caller: Scam

Called me twice pretending to be PayPal demanding for my credit card details. Called back and couldn’t connect to the number. Be aware of the scam.

Can confirm that this is a real number. I called paypal directly and confirmed it with them. This is the number for PayPal's collections department.

caller id said 1800 162 432 but its the same number. Pay Pal. Either someone used my number to create a fake paypal or its a scam.. either way, not my problemo!
