Beware scammer.

They called me on viber at 8:40pm on a Sunday and I didn't answer. I looked at their details and noticed the "1800 068 424" number is part of their viber name (this number is a real Telstra number that can only be called from monday-friday 9am-5pm) and their real number which i found below the image is +12368368299

Caller: Telstra Helpline Mr Jonas on 1800 068 424

Firstly someone said that she was from Telstra and had noticed some strange action on my internet. I asked how could I confirm she was from Telstra calling and she handed me over to another female who said that she would give me my computer license ID number which no one else would know, and asked me to write it down. She said she would show me the faults they were picking up on my computer, and that I should go to my computer. I then said that my computer was some distance from the homeline, and she could call me back on my mobile, which I gave her. I went to my computer, and she called my on my mobile. She said several foreign IT were established in my line. Then she proceeded to give me a number which she called my computer ID license number, and asked if I knew how to check it. I said I did not, and she said she would help me. Then she asked me if I was at my computer, and to go to the control key. When I asked her for her number she said she would give me to her manager. Mr Jonas come on the phone and I asked why I could not pick up his ID number on my phone and he said his ID number was 775249. When I asked if I called him back, would it get to him, he said that they could not be contacted on that number and gave me the Telstra helpline number as 1800 068 424. When I rang the number I got this message "Your call could not be connected. check the number and try again.

Just recd a call from the same mob allegedly from Telstra with the same story. I asked for a return phone number as it sounded sus....they gave me 1800 068 424. Glad I checked on this site

Caller had a strong Indian accent and claimed that there was a number of errors from my NBN connection on the Telstra Server and I had to fix it immediately or my NBN connection would be closed starting tomorrow for 15 days.

She claimed someone else was using our connection and they were going to investigate it. I took her number and said i'd call her back.

She gave me this number to ring. Glad I googled it.

Surely Telstra can track where these calls are made from ???

4 calls today. Each with a supposed and different error on our nbn. SCAM. Do not give any details.

Caller had a strong Indian accent and claimed that there was a number of errors from my NBN connection on the Telstra Server and I had to fix it immediately or my NBN connection would be closed within 24 hours.
I had suspicions and asked for Identification and caller authentication. He gave me this number to ring and gave me what turned out to be a false Testra staff unique ID number. Be very aware.

Claiming my internet had been hacked and that I needed to let them tell me how to fix it. The bloke called himself Allan/Alan/Allen and he said he was calling from Pitt St, Sydney office but he had a strong foreign accent and refused to give me the Sydney (02) ?? number. Don't know how he got my home phone number as it is a silent number and my internet connection is not with Telstra anyway. Be aware of a scam!!!

I have a receipt for damage caused by Telstra to my property I am wanting to fax to you, but do not have a fax number. Please send my friend your fax number, so as I can fax the receipt to you.
