What a lot of bullocks. 131314 is for General Inquiries and 133350 is for Hoax and Internet Issues. Check "Contact Us" via ANZ site These guys are NOT from ANZ!!
Don't click the link in a text from them, or call them back.
I am just of the phone with ANZ , thye have no 133350 nr in use!!
A SCAM watch out!
As Dan and Alex said, it's the internet banking help line for the ANZ bank It's not fraud. This number is on the ANZ website -_- I received a text message stating my card had been blocked and advised me to call the above number 13 3350 or login to inetbank-anz.com. It also had an Opt-Out option and to reply STOP84 to 0418 177 533
I checked the 13 number on the official ANZ website which shows this number is for the internet banking enquiries line so I was comfortable with calling. I also looked up the website provided. I did not click the link. When I checked the website address in the browser on my phone it immediately came up with a Deceptive Website Warning. I did not click the mobile number in the text either.
When I spoke to ANZ the person I spoke to checked all my accounts and said no blocks had been placed on any of my cards (I have two). He asked me to send a screenshot of the text message to hoax @ cybersecurity.anz.com for them to follow up which I have done. I also checked the ANZ site for this email and it is the address ANZ provides for customers to contact regarding hoax emails so I am confident I was talking to an ANZ rep and not a scammer. The ANZ rep also said that the Opt-out option in the text was definitely another red flag as their text messages never give that option. I checked previous text messages from ANZ and there has definitely not been an opt-out option in any of them.
Be aware!! While the phone number in the text is an actual ANZ number, don't be tempted to click anything as the rest of the text is 100% scammy!!
Please don't listen to anyone saying this number is anz. It is a scam trying to steal your info. If they messaged you, don't worry. Don't give out any personal details. It's a scam, a fake number! Message said OTP for the online transaction of AUD 299.00 on your ANZ card ending in #### at KMart is 031099. If you did not initiate this call 133350
This is my second one of these, both stating kmart. A quick call to ANZ 131314 satisfied me that no transaction had taken place. Defs a scam.
And if one doesn't even use ANZ at all, then what? The 133350 number is not a scam it is the phone number for the team at go money which is the ANZ app on your phone for internet banking. Thanks Tess!! It's the internet banking helpdesk number according to the anz website. Caller: Fake ANZ
Yes confirm same SMS's I have been receiving. It is a scam designed to look like its a OTP from ANZ for card used on online transaction. If you log into your internet banking after you get SMS you can see no actual transaction has taken place. No idea why they use real ANZ internet banking phone number though when no link is in SMS as well.
Caller: Fake ANZ
Real looking ANZ SMS going around sending OTP for online transactions of debit/cred card used says if not you to call 133350. Whilst the SMS comes through from ANZ and the phone number is real these SMS are in fact scam. If you get one of these and log straight into your internet banking you will see no transaction has taken place in which text claims. Been happening for awhile then using real ANZ mobile number.
received a text message under the name ANZ (making it seems legit) saying “ Your account access has been suspended and restricted due to suspicious actions. Please verify your information now for normal use:https://anzplus.pro/Security”
i clicked the link, it sent me to anz website (probably a fake one) and they sent a verification code under ANZ again. nothing happened. I immediately called ANZ customer service and they told me that they would never send a link or ask a verification code through text unless we are on the call with them or it is upon my request. luckily nothing happened to me.
This is load of Bullsh*t you scammer Caller: It was an email
So I had a transaction on Saturday, on Monday I get an email saying the funds were transferred in error and we’re requesting an reversal of funds, I messaged the customer and they had not requested a reversal of funds, I spoke with the bank they did not send the email, it’s a scam, don’t respond or click any links, these people are parasites
yah. same here. its the same NO Ive been getting from ANZ since 2014 (those message we are getting are from their Internet team.) and today I got a scam message from this NO. I called ANZ to check. they said they do not know how those people could send the scam message thro their system. They use the actual service number in conjunction with a link because the fact that the number is real reassures people and then many of them will choose to avoid a perceived wait-time on the phone and just do it online - and thats when they click the phishing link.
Anyone who calls the number instead of clicking the link is just a factored-in loss of the play. And as there may be twice as many who click the link as there are who make the call, its a loss they will generally be happy to take in exchange for the appearance of authenticity.
Getting the following SMS on my office mobile number where I never use for my banking info.
From ANZ: Your home/work number has been changed. If you didn't make this change, please call us on 13 33 50
By why they actually use the actual ANZ customer service number 13 33 50?
Sent text to call sounds like ANZ but with someone trying very hard to minimise accent don't go there
