I received a text message stating my card had been blocked and advised me to call the above number 13 3350 or login to inetbank-anz.com. It also had an Opt-Out option and to reply STOP84 to 0418 177 533
I checked the 13 number on the official ANZ website which shows this number is for the internet banking enquiries line so I was comfortable with calling. I also looked up the website provided. I did not click the link. When I checked the website address in the browser on my phone it immediately came up with a Deceptive Website Warning. I did not click the mobile number in the text either.
When I spoke to ANZ the person I spoke to checked all my accounts and said no blocks had been placed on any of my cards (I have two). He asked me to send a screenshot of the text message to hoax @ cybersecurity.anz.com for them to follow up which I have done. I also checked the ANZ site for this email and it is the address ANZ provides for customers to contact regarding hoax emails so I am confident I was talking to an ANZ rep and not a scammer. The ANZ rep also said that the Opt-out option in the text was definitely another red flag as their text messages never give that option. I checked previous text messages from ANZ and there has definitely not been an opt-out option in any of them.
Be aware!! While the phone number in the text is an actual ANZ number, don't be tempted to click anything as the rest of the text is 100% scammy!!

received a text message under the name ANZ (making it seems legit) saying “ Your account access has been suspended and restricted due to suspicious actions. Please verify your information now for normal use:https://anzplus.pro/Security”
i clicked the link, it sent me to anz website (probably a fake one) and they sent a verification code under ANZ again. nothing happened. I immediately called ANZ customer service and they told me that they would never send a link or ask a verification code through text unless we are on the call with them or it is upon my request. luckily nothing happened to me.

Please don't listen to anyone saying this number is anz. It is a scam trying to steal your info. If they messaged you, don't worry. Don't give out any personal details. It's a scam, a fake number!

This looks to be a sophisticated scam...looks to be sent from ANZ saying if you did not authorise a payment to call a legit number but it is a link that directs you elsewhere. I logged into my account and found no evidence of said transaction. Don't follow the link!

Yes confirm same SMS's I have been receiving. It is a scam designed to look like its a OTP from ANZ for card used on online transaction. If you log into your internet banking after you get SMS you can see no actual transaction has taken place. No idea why they use real ANZ internet banking phone number though when no link is in SMS as well.

Message said OTP for the online transaction of AUD 299.00 on your ANZ card ending in #### at KMart is 031099. If you did not initiate this call 133350
This is my second one of these, both stating kmart. A quick call to ANZ 131314 satisfied me that no transaction had taken place. Defs a scam.

Received SMS from ANZ with OTP for online transaction of $299.75 to Coles Online on my card ending ****. If not requested call 133350 or OS number. While 133350 is an ANZ number, sms appears to be either someone trying to use my card and with two step verification they can't access it OR the phone numbers have a link line under them so if you click it, it can access your phone. Change all passwords as it's a Scam or potential fraud!!!
