D & B debt collection

Scam, had text message to call 1300 983 433 from MG collect regarding urgent matter and they provided a reference number to quote.
Called number as I knew it was a scam so I played their game. Indian answered wanted reference number which I provided. Then my name quoting reason for security purposes. I advised you had my name and number as you sent text to me using my name and number. I asked what it was about and was told about a government debt. They wouldn’t tell me which department. Just wanted name and address. Well I made up an address tild them it was a scam and they are going to be reported to AFP. They just hung up.

Out of the blue text message from 'MGCollect' - Thank-you 'Milton Graham'. Never heard of him or them. Asking me by name to ring them to discuss an important matter and quote a number. Get stuffed. Just another scammer. Anyone who wants to contact me can send an email or letter. Be careful. I've had a few of these dodgy text messages.

Keep receiving text messages regarding someone else's debt... When i call back i get an Indian telling me he is calling on behalf of a Govt agency, though wont tell me which.. When i asked what Govt agency doesn't first contact me by mail, they cant explain as apparently its a breach of privacy...WTF??

Anyone know who this is?
