I had received a call from Private number, a MAN INTRODUCED HIMSELF AS TOYOTA STAFF. Then he asked me to call back to 1300 888 867.
I made a call to 1300888867 then answering machine asked me to put my CARD NUMBER. HANGED UP!

100% a scam apparently called from Toyota payments department.
We have a loan with Toyota but the details they were giving didn't make sense.
Called Toyota Finance Department through the phone number on the contract and they confirmed it is a scam.

Rang as a private number and some guy left a message telling me to call 1300 888 867 and to quote some random number.

I called and it said it was Toyota Finance and asked me to enter my account number and press #. I just pressed # and it put me through to a "Customer Service Representative" and I then hung up.

I do have a loan with Toyota and the message said my full name but the 1300 number does not match any Toyota Finance number on their website ...

I have received frequent private calls recently, but without anyone leaving a voice message. Today is the only time I got a voicemail. It was a female and said she called from Toyota Finance. She asked me to call back on 1300 888 867 with a quote number xxxxxxxx.

I called back. The recorded voice requested me to put my "account number" in. I do not have it because I have got nothing to do with Toyota whatsoever. After 25 minutes waiting time, I ended up speaking to an operator, finally.

I gave her the quote number from the voicemail. I said I need to know what this quote number related to. She said it was a contract number, then she asked for my personal details before she can talk to me further. I refused to give her my details as I want to protect my privacy. I requested to speak to her manager. I have had enough of the harassment from their calls.

She came back to me after while, then requested my first name only, so she can clarify whether or not I am the one they really wanted to contact. I provided it as required, then I was advised that it is not the name on their contract, and they will remove my number from their file completely due to it being a mistake.
