I got an email from Latitude Financial Services (whom I have never dealt with) with above phone number, but the number to call them on their web site was different. I believe the email and this number is a scam.

For those saying they have never dealt with Latitude, Latitude took over GE Money so it's possible that some may have had dealings with GE Money in past decades and have forgotten that.

Although GE Money no longer exists in Australia, Latitude Financial took on responsibility for GE Money's business — including its products, customers, and data.13 Apr 2023

Got the same letter from the same company, as i have never dealt with them or have take a loan anywhere i am sceptical about this letter will be looking into this further.

I believe this is legit, those who never dealt with them may have instead dealt with another company who were just using them instead. The number on their website is different because this is a specific number for this incident and this number does in fact appear on their website here https://www.latitudefinancial.com.au/latitude-cyber-incident/ half way down the page under support for affect customers it says:

We have a contact centre for affected individuals:
Australia call 1300 793 416 9am to 6pm, Monday - Friday (excluding public holidays)
New Zealand call 0800 777 885 9am to 6pm, Monday - Friday (excluding public holidays)

So there may well be a scam about this going around, but the letter using this number does not seem to be one.

I received a long letter from Latitude Financial Services who advised that they had a malicious data attack and my ID had been compromised. I have never had any finance through this organisation or an associated association. Its a scam beware. Phone numbers don't match if you google them.

Definitely scam.

I received a long letter from Latitude Financial Services, who they said they couldn't reach me by email. The letter said they had had a "malicious data attack", which resulted in some of my personal data being stolen. I have never had a loan of any nature from this company, nor any dealings whatsoever with them. I believe the letter to be scam, hence I checked the phone number on this site and found another person had found the number to be suspect.
