I had the same pop up message on my smart TV today. I assumed it was a scammer and I did not call the number

FYI - I called the number and booked in a replacement. Figured I would call and see how legit it was. I first gave them dodgy info to validate my info and they weren't able to identify me. I then gave them actual details and booked in an appointment. I then contacted Foxtel via live chat on the Foxtel website. They were able to find my appointment. Make of that what you will. Enjoy!

Message just flashed on my TV screen, advising that the set top box needs to be replaced. Have never seen or heard anything about this before. Suspect it's not legitimate.

Beware I am sure they are scammers a message just come from my TV Screen that my set top box needs to be replaced. It is NOT from our Service Provider who we communicate with directly.

I have foxtel via telstra. I get that message about having to upgrade my set top box due to the planned system change. I phone telstra & they said ignore it, don’t do anything.

Received a letter in the mail about this. Also received a pop-up on Foxtel too. Went to the Telstra store in Melbourne to check that the number was legitimate. The guy couldn't find it anywhere and told me to use the app and ask about it. The letter has a contract number - I didn't see a contract number on my invoice. Too many scams around so will either go into store again or use the app to find out.

Caller: Text (to work phone) not connected to my Telstra/Foxtel

Rang the number and told lady already have satellite. She said that's strange. Then she tried to tell me I had cable Foxtel. Then ask her how she confirmed that? She said my phone number...but this is a work phone should not have anything to do with my Telstra or Foxtel account. So I'm thinking Scam?

This number is *probably* legitimate, although it may not be directly from Foxtel. The Foxtel network is definitely closing down the cable network in 2023 and moving to streaming service only.

Same here I called it, the message sounded like a scam recording

Message on TV screen says call this number re set top box. Seems unusual and not from Foxtel. Probably a scam

BEWARE- A pop-up message just appeared on my TV Screen saying my set top box needs to be replaced, and to call 1300 788 219. Am sure it's a SCAM as we only had a new Foxtel box installed recently!
