Commonwealth Bank Customer Assist. Supposed to help you when you are having hardship pay a debt to them but are really just trying to squeeze the last drop of blood from you.

Caller: Text message I got a random text message advising "thanks for contacting Financial Assist. Please call us on 1300 720 814 to discuss how we can help. M - F 8am - 9pm, Sat 9am - 2pm Sydney time". This is a poor attempt to lure someone in to playing the role of the debtor especially if you have created an estoppel situation with the bank due to the inherent nature of "bank lending". As the bank doesn't lend you any money they take it from your estate, and act as the middle man to get paid but that's a conversation for another day.

Caller: CommBank support / Emergency Assistance Genuine call from CommBank support / Emergency Assistance. Unexpected call. Nadine wanted property title names adjusted to correctly reflect deceased - to be removed as a tenant in common name on the property title. Following this change of the property title, Nadine advised the names on the CommBank loan would stay the same and the loan against the property would continue on, unchanged with both names intact.

They called on a private number stating they are from the CBA and wanted to discuss a personal banking matter and I refused to provide my details and they stated to call back on this number or visit a branch
