I got a similar message asking to call 1300 554 191 to discuss an urgent matter. I called the number today to play along and provided the ref#. The guy I spoke to was expecting a call from a Zhong Nan Shan Pty Ltd. When I told him I have no idea who they are and upon providing the last 3 digits of my number he removed my number from the system and guaranteed no further calls or messages.

D@B Street, gutter collection agency representing scamming companies who think they can rip you off, they purchase list of companies who are in dispute regarding out standing invoices and try to scare you into paying. DO NOT call them back, If they call you DO NOT given them any information, if you have out standing invoices to any company the Australian legislation is clear regarding collection. The way this company acts is not inline with Australian law.

Received call today from (08) 9917 8145 Western Australia. They were looking for my husband. When i asked them what is it in regards then they said its for his personal matter. When I told them i am his wife you can tell me. They disconnected a call straight away. After 15 Mins, i started getting messages to pay the debt, Please pay immediately to Milton Graham (prev Dun & Bradstreet) debt collectors.
Fraud people.

They left a message to call them back with a reference number concerning an outstanding invoice from Officeworks. When I called back, the info they provided was inaccurate and was from a dead account, which was later verified with Officeworks directly.

It may be frustrating but always check with the service provider directly before you give out your personal information or commit to payment.

This is back, just got a text. Know I don't owe anyone any money so googled Milton Graham first, their phone number is different. Then found this. Posting a warning to FB & have blocked the number.

These calls go straight to my voice mail, no missed calls/or phone numbers register on my phone log and they claim I need to call them urgently and quote a reference number, they never mention the name of the person they are calling. I dont have any outstanding debts and no business with Milton Graham. They have called me up to 4 times a week and leave messages to call the 1300 554 191 and quote reference number, I wont be wasting my time calling them back, its a scam, if they want to reach me they can send a letter or allow me to answer a call from them instead of it going straight to voicemail, I am not even sure how you can do that!!

Milton Graham, previously Dun & Bradstreet calls me up to 19 times a week. Coming from abroad, I was stupid enough to believe they had taken over an old debt from my home country, which was supposed to be settled. Being new in Australia, I answered their questions very confused that there was an amount of several thousand dollars that I had no idea existed - and was told the interest rate over several years had increased, and I would have to pay now or enter a payment agreement. They provided the amount, the original company the debt supposedly came from and told me they could lower the amount I owed them a little if I paid the full amount now. I told them there was no way I would pay some random person over the phone who had shown me no evidence whatsoever that they had taken over an old debt I was convinced had been settled. In the end they conquered my gut instinct and I entered a payment plan and they would be sending me the papers they had taken over the debt. When my financial situation changed I should contact them again and they could see what they could do for me in terms of lowering my debt. They also ensured me no further interest would be added as they had taken over the debt as a debt collecting company. I ended up paying them 3 x $100 but when I never received any documentation, I stopped paying. You may think: why the h*** did you pay three times before stopping the payments when you didn’t receive the documentation? Well, I received an email with an overview of the debt and the agreement and while it didn’t look professional, I never thought of debt collectors as professional. But I went to visit the website (not via a link but via a search engine) and it looked professional, but what fooled me was that the person I was communicating with on email and phone was portrayed as a case handler on the web site. When I went further and looked up the person on LinkedIn, the person with the photo on the web site also had a similar photo on LinkedIn and a well-developed profile with a longer cv and an account that had existed a number of years. This was enough to convince me it was a legit request. This is 1.5-2 years ago. Fake D&B, at some point, decided I wasn’t worth the effort, however, they started calling me again a couple of months ago, leaving automated phone messages on my answering machine and sending me the following text messages:
Hi, we have been trying to contact you to discuss an important matter. Please call Milton Graham (previously Dun & Bradstreet) on 1300 554 191 quoting xxxxxxxx immediately. Some second debt has miraculously also appeared out of thin air in the mean time. Having seen all this feedback from you good people has made me confident over the years, I was tricked by a bunch of scammers. Whether they created a fake website that I visited with fake LinkedIn profiles of fake employees or they used real employees’ names etc., I am not sure if as I deleted the old messages and don’t remember which website address I checked years ago, but it seems from all of our experiences that they are professional and successful since they keep doing this. Perhaps my summary of my experiences with the people behind the phone number will convince you not to provide any information or money. I seem to have been going the farthest with them - and I never, ever saw any evidence of them having taken over any debt that I was responsible for, I never received any receipts for the payments I made and if I had said to them I had $250 to pay here and now go delete a $2000 debt. I am sure they would have eventually taken it. I instead told them I had no money whatso ever and would only pay a minimum amount and I would never pay them this amount that was times bigger than the original amount. Hang up, don’t call back, download a call blocker app or change phone number and make sure it’s not listed. They are persistent.

This number is Dun and Bradstreet (methinks trying to fake being Dunn & Bradstreet). IMHO These scum should be de-registered by ASIC. Breaching numerous Australian laws for debt recovery and quoting an amount owing that was never owed. Block their e-mails and SMS if possible.

D&B asking for my address and DOB before "proceeding with the request". No way I'm giving my details as they are the ones calling me.
