origin scam

Scam number pretending to be Qantas:

Hi, you still have Qantas COVID travel credit for a booking made on or before 30 Sep 2021. You can request a refund at any time, including after 31 Dec 2023 by calling 1300 364 986. If you prefer to use your credit for travel, remember to book by 31 Dec 2023.

Claimed to be from origin energy- automated call. Asked me to call the 1300 360 986 number. Looked up origin energy number and it's not 1300 360 986!
I believe this to be a scam!

Haven't called back. Automated and state that they will continue to call if I don't call back. Oh well.

Received email with this phone number claiming I owed money on account. Don't think I will be paying it.

They knew my name though. Said I needed to call them asap. Or if I'm not that person, I still need to call them asap.

Hi, this is not a scam and in fact a legitimate call from Origin Energy collections department.

Caller: No caller ID + sms

phone call from a robot with an no caller id. if ignored receive a text claiming my gas bill is overdue of varying amounts. this occurs once a week... I don’t even have an power/water/gas registered in my name 🤦🏽‍♀️

Like others received an iMessage stating an overdue amount etc. Don’t have an Origin account.

Text said from Origin with link to pay bill. They actually had my correct account number but totally wrong bill amount

No caller Id. Claim to be Origins. You can block number 0429 041 444. Don’t click on link or through message if you don’t have acc with Origins. If keep having voice calls, please report to local police.

I always get a no caller ID number ring (and when answered it’s a robot asking for me to press 1 followed by a text claiming I owe $269.48 for gas. asking me to reply 1 or call 1300 360 986. The part that gets me is that the electricity and gas isn’t even in my name, so unsure as to why they’re contacting me. An absolute scam fest.
