Saw a text message asking me to call back Suncorp. Knew my first name and the last 4 digits of my Visa debit card. I didn't call back because this number wasn't anywhere on their website. I checked my account, it's fine, no suspicious transactions, no money missing. And my CC (different) number is all paid up and up to date, so there's no reason why Suncorp would call me, let alone text me. Suspect it's a scammer so I'm not responding. A bit scary they know the last 4 digits of my Visa debit card though. I may just go to another back or ask Suncorp to give me another card number.

Caller: Regina from ‘Citibank on behalf of Suncorp’

Called advising she was phoning on behalf of Citibank acting for Suncorp .. asked to confirm my name and details and that of my husbands. When I asked for the callback number to verify she was legitimate she provided me with 1300 221 410 and Quoted our cc as reference number.

Caller said they are from Suncorp /Citibank.
She knew my full name -scary.
Gave this number to callback. Dam rats.

Caller: A person called Nikita

Said they were from city group regarding suncorp - asking for my husband, told me i wasn't an authority (which i am), provided me with the call back number (surprisingly) but refused and hung up when i asked for her staff id number
Called number back and it came up with a suncorp message for city group
She had very little english

Suspected spam caller number.
