Caller: Insight Mercantile i called them back after seeing a missed call on my phone, they're debt collectors, rang to let me know i had missed a payment.... spoke to a very nice lady!

Yes, they would be Insight Mercantile, definitely NOT Telemarketers.
Debt Collectors are regulated by ASIC. Look up their act governing debt collectors.
