Caller: Someone saying they represent Pricedata and ATCO

Wanting to find out if I got 40% discount from any of the 5 gas companies - Alinta, Origin, AGL etc that I am entitled to and they are checking to see if I got my deal. Wanted me to get my bill and speak to him about it. Caller ID originate from Bunbury. When ask for his number to call back, he said he cannot give me his personal number (why would I want that!!!) and skirted around giving it out!

Caller: Guy -Price cutters

Guy is claiming that he can lover my gas bill. I don’t have a gas, but I played along to get some answers from him. He is from Price Cutters- energy brokerage company. No info about them online ;) He told me that I am asking to many questions :))) when I wanted to know where he got my number. I said “you seem to know a lot about me, but I don't know anything about you. He hanged up. Cant do much, just keep blocking the numbers that they are calling from. You can make them little uncomfortable by asking questions... just to check that they are not a scam “you know so many scams these days”. If you hold your horses he most likely get angry and hang up and you win. The same works with street hawkers. I just try to sell something to them in return, whatever it is (religion, idea, my old camping gear) it is fun.

Caller ID said from Bunbury. Have had about 10 of these calls in the last 3 months about Gas.

Lady laughingly asked if she could speak with 'Victor'.
I politely replied; There's no Victor here, sorry.
Bam! Hung up in my ear.

Call came from Bunbury, Western Australia apparently... few others online said scam number, so I just ignored it.

Scam. Picked up and that 2 second delay you get from overseas call centres.

Started trying to do a deal for gas pricing. Wouldn't say where he was from but said he could do a cheaper price than Alinta and Kleenheat.

Gas scam deal, just wants your details and CC number.

Hung up straight away.
