Caller: Anne from Australian Health & Wellness Forum
She called at 10.30 am - she didn't respond promptly to my hullo - I asked her name and organisation - noted her Philippino accent and assumed it was another overseas scam. She said she was conducting a survey on the over 50s. She said she got my name and number from the White Pages. She pleaded with me not to hang up!

This number and other variants of it has been calling daily up to twice a day sometimes three, for months now. The person on the other end claims to be doing a wellness survey. And wanting various personal details. Other times they say they are calling regarding the government solar rebate gave no information and asked them not to call again on the occasions I did answer the calls. Now saving to scammer on my phone, I suggest eveeyone do the same. As any legitimate company or government agency would not make contact and harrass people incessantly as this pack of a**holes do!

I don't know what these folks are trying to accomplish. 1) Whenever someone calls like this, I get on my cell phone and immediately call the number. This one calls back as DISCONNECTED. 2) I asked why their number is disconnected when I call it and they usually hang up. Occasionally they will have a valid number, but NEVER give me a call back number, nor can they give me a website supporting their actions.
Whatever they are doing, it's nice... deep... horse... sh*t. They need to eat this stuff and die if they are scammers. If they are actually a government entity legitimately calling for information, they need to do a WHOLE LOT BETTER than they are.
As for their ability to spoof a phone number, the telephone company is responsible for this fault in their system. All the phone company cares is that they are making money allowing people to register to use the phone system and then spoof numbers. If the phone company actually cared about their 'care of duty', they would not allow this garbage. Grow some MORALS you money grubbing phone companies!!!

He said he was calling to do a survey and wanted a few questions answered and to give him 3 minutes. I replied I was not interested and he responded to say 2 minutes. I again told him I was not interested and said goodbye and hung up.
