It's a shame that WA PCYC's reputation is being ruined by this aggressive type of telemarketing.

I called back number (08) 9523 0755 reached voice mail for a company called WA PCYC.

WA PCYC. They call me 10 times a week. The moment you block them, they call you on a different number. Very annoying, must have sales targets to meet.

This is one of many "charity" calls that may be dodgy. How did they get my phone number, which is on the DNC register?

I had been donating by direct debit to this police charity - which is supposed to offer after school services to vulnerable youth to keep them off the streets. Recently I had to get a new debit MasterCard because of an unauthorized transaction (not from PCYC) and didn't inform PCYC, so have been barraged with daily calls from them. Finally I decided that I would stop my monthly donation - because their persistence really annoyed me, and also I thought - why don't their parents donate, instead of people like me who don't have kids? Also I know that a percentage of police themselves are corrupt, so how do I know this isn't a scam? Also my contribution included 10 free lottery tkts per mth (prize $5000) - lucky no's sent by email - well, that stopped after the first month, still I continued to donate for over a year.

My 10 year old son answered a call from this number and they asked if he was over 18 he said no. They said are your parents home he said no. She then said well I’m coming to get you!!! He was very freaked out

Attempted call from this number at about 5pm Perth time. Didn't get past my Telstra Call Guardian screening. Only noticed that they tried to call when I checked for any missed calls about half an hour later.
They can use as many numbers as they like - none of them will get through to us unless they say their name and press hash. And, even if they did, the number(s) will be promptly blocked permanently before they get a chance to talk.

Same. Many different numbers. They are relentless.

I just googled PCYC in WA and this number doesn't seem to be theirs! It also took a long time for the phone call to connect. My guess is, whoever called, may not reside in Australia. So BEWARE, this number may be used by SCAMMERS.

Very persistent and annoying. Makes me regret been a contributor to their cause with been constantly harassed for more money.
