Got about 3 calls from this phone number over a week , finally answered and it was a survey about bankwest , i said i wasnt interested then hung up !

I had the unfortunate task of being one of the phone operators at a call center.The reason for the dead silence is that most call centers use a machine to auto dial off a list of numbers, and then sends the answered calls to free operators (supposed to improve efficiency) but normally ends up calling people to fast and putting them on hold without any hold music.I am glad to say that I managed to find employment elsewhere soon after I got the job.If you get called and answer, ask them for there company name and where they got the list from, also to be removed from further calls (same with all cold calls), in this country (Australia) and in the UK by law they have to remove you from the list, other countries however do not.

I just got a call from this number and it most certainly wasn't HBF trying for a survey. It was a heavy breather!

I missed a call from this number today (which is why I looked the number up on this site).Seems to me that if you ever answer one of these calls you should speak to them politely and tell them things that their client doesn't want to hear. Maybe you could start by telling them that you're no longer a customer of company X. When they inevitably ask why (because it'll be within scope of the survey) tell them that it's because you refuse to do business with companies that hire annoying market research firms like them. This may even be the truth!

Give it a miss will you - I have no interest in talking to a company that flouts the law when I am on the DO NOT CALL LIST - keep it up and YOU WILL BE reported - AFTER 8 PM AS WELL.

I got a call on this Sunday morning. Tell them that your number is on the Governmennt's 'do not call' list. Register your tel# on that that site before or after you get the call.
