Caller: Scam

Claiming to be Telstra. Indian accent.

We were home in isolation with Covid so we had some time for sport with a scam caller.
Young Indian woman claiming to be from technical department from Telstra. Highlight was being put into the ‘supervisor’ who tried to dazzle with fast urgent nonsense. In the end she hung up.

Caller: Nope! Some Indian lady.

Best scam caller ever! So much fun. I took up 15 minutes of her day playing a Russian spy from ASIO caked Karol Dimltkov from Vladivostok. Wanted to know so much info, even verified my own number as a land line and that my phony name and DOB were correct though she had no clue when my email was. To bad... it was гребаный-мошенник@ссср.яц.

Caller: Maitland, Indian accent.

Claimed to be from Telstra technical department.

Claimed to be telstra. Kept calling me over 3 days. I usually don't answer unkown numbers. Anyway asked for lots of details, but wouldn't tell me what it was needed for. Called telstra to confirm, they said they have nothing on file about calling me. The last time they'd contacted me was start of 2021.

Caller: Dodgey lady with Indian accent

Caller claimed to be from Telstra. Said I would be experiencing technical issues soon. Asked for full name so she could send me authorisation message. I refused to provide and told her she should have it on file. I told her I thought this was a scam call and she started getting angry, saying how could it be when I haven’t asked for any financial details. I thanked her for her time and she hung up on me.

I didn’t answer and no message. So I looked up the number- thanks for the information. Was from Maitland, South Australia!!

Caller: She claimed to be "Ruby White" but had an Indian accent

Absolute scammers, confirmed after I lodged an enquiry with Telstra... Claimed to be from the Telstra Technical Department, gave me a dodge employee ID and name. Said there were system issues and needed to improve my service. Asked for my full name (like they dont have that on file.... absolute BS.) Don't waste your time talking to these low lives.

Caller: Unanswered

Have had three missed calls from this number over the past two weeks. No message left. Thank you for the helpful comments here. I will now block the number.

Scam, If you tell them you also work at Telstra the hang up immediatly.

Scammers. Claiming to be Telstra. Told them I worked for Telstra and they hung up on me lol

called me. I didn't pick up. I called back an hour later, no answer and went to pre-recorded computer voicemail.

Scam. Claimed to be Telstra. I asked if they were scammers and she said “how could you say that” I asked again and they hung up.
