I didn’t answer as don’t know anybody in South Australia and they didn’t leave a message

Asian voice, European name, telling me my number has been selected to receive a new smart phone. Hung up then blocked

Caller: I don’t know

Received phone call from this number. Did not recognise number so did not answer. They did not leave a msg.

I answered as I know people in SA, although I didn't recognise the number I was suspicious. Silent and then a ringing tone. I hung up as it was obviously a call centre of some type.

Caller: Unknown

I picked up then there was a 2 second delay and Caller hung Definitely spammer

Caller: Someone purporting to be from a telco (didn’t recognise name )

I’m based in Victoria and this number came up as a southAustralian number.
I didn’t answer the first ring as I didn’t recognise the number but they called again and I answered thinking it might be a couple of calls I’m expecting.
When I answered the call it took a couple of seconds to connect and then the caller said hi this is blah blah calling. I couldn’t understand the name they gave and so I asked them who they were. They repeated their intro and I understood it to be something like ‘ATL’ and a that it was a telecommunications company.
That name does not ring any bells and the Telco I’m with sounds nothing like that. I said to them this sounds like a scam call so please don’t call me again and the Call settle. Why would you say that? And I said I said your reaction now is only Confirming my suspicions please don’t call me and they said it’s rude to assume things like that and I said very clearly I SPAM Call do not call me again and they were mouthiing off and I hung up and blocked the number.

The caller had a thick accent.
In any case their phone etiquette was very poor and I certainly wouldn’t be interested in any company with service like that.

Why did this call come through my phone setting to silence unknown numbers, I wonder?

They rang me said hello twice then hung up

Just received a call from the same number,the hung up when I answered so I will say that I'm blocking the number,

Called saying I’ve won a free phone

Random call from this number. Hung up when I answered

I answered the call. Said "hello" the caller immediately ended call.

I don't know anyone in Adelaide, so when I got the call from this number I used a screening feature on my phone to see what was up. The caller hung up within seconds of the screening feature and didn't say anything.

Foreign Call Center claiming to represent a mobile phone company I've never heard of.

They tell you that your number is selected for a brand new phone. It's a scam, she hung up when I asked where in NSW she was calling from.

Claerly spam and dodgy - "your mobile number has been approved to receive a new phone"

Won free phone. Probably a scam

Answered no. Spoke, they hung up. Call back, wouldn’t ring. Scammer.
