Caller: (08) 8121 5984 Yesterday I received 3 emails supposedly from Apple saying that my bank account would be direct debited for $497 because my trial subscription with Apple had ended. I called the number on the email (08) 8121 5984 - an Adelaide phone number I found out. Also there was an email address KhokonCh138 @ gmail.com which I thought was strange for Apple Inc. When I called to dispute the charge, a guy with the Indian accent named "Kho" told me it was for use of my Apple mobile (LOL) I told him I have never owned an Apple phone in my life. Then he asked if I owned an Apple computer and I said that I had bought my first Apple laptop in 2022 - so he said that's what my charges are for (LOL) He said Apple charges $490 per year for owning a laptop (LOL) I told him that I thought this was a scam and he immediately hung up!

I had the exact same experience as James Sheridan (above) 3101.2024 I contacted Apple - they confirmed it was a scam.
