I called back number (08) 7569 2587 rang 3 times then goes to busy tone.

I answered the call. He said he was calling from 'National Australia Bank Security'. I asked why he was calling and he said '...about your NAB account'. I don't have a nab account so said 'you're a fraudster' and he hung up.

How can i stop these a holes from harasing me

In a very noisy ?call centre? Indian? accent asked "is that Mr. 'approx my name'?" I replied who is calling? .. He repeated question, I repeated, he repeated then hung up. Scam is assumed.

Called me 3 times, the last of which I answered. But the caller immediately hung up.

You can block calls on mobiles but you cannot on landlines

Said he was from nab and someone named James smith had taken $800 out of my account told him I’m not with nab and got hung up on

(08) 7569 2587 Further to my comment on 12th February, I have contacted Do Not Call Register, via ACMA website.
The call to me, supposedly from Do Not Call (or they called it DNC) "is a hoax or scam" according to the DNC.

Male caller with an Indian accent, with background call centre noise, called my mobile. There was a pause before they answered, so I had to say hello several times (I guess they're using an autodialler). Then they started with "I am calling from technical support about a problem with your internet". Immediately dubious as no ISP has ever pro-actively called me about a problem with my internet, plus I knew our internet was working fine, plus unsolicited calls from technical support are usually scams. Playing along, I said "oh gee, that sounds serious. Which company are you calling from?", they said "Telstra" (which is exactly what I suspected they would say), I said "That's great, because our internet is not with Telstra, so now I know you're a scammer, and I can safely hang up on you", and did, and then added this number to my mobile's block list.

Monday 12.2.2018, received at 5.53 p.m., female caller claimed to be from Do Not Call (I could not hear all details). Had I been receiving a lot of unwanted/ telemarketing calls. They could stop this happening. (I was suspicious as last week I had a call from a man with foreign voice, claiming to be from the Do Not Call section of Telstra, which I knew he wasn't.) Checked my details -- which were from the telephone book anyway, as she couldn't tell me my villa number. Asked for spelling of first name. Then asked for expiry date of credit card, "for verification". I hung up.

I didn't notice the link before I made an enquiry/complaint to Do Not Call Register on their website, but apparently there is a scam going the rounds - callers asking for $100 to block calls. Could be one of these.

Strangely enough we don’t ever use our home phone (literally no handset plugged in to answer) but I’m glad the caller ID is still left on a missed calls text to my mobile. Clearly I missed nothing including being scammed!

Knew my full name and address. Claiming to be from Telstra and that my internet had downloaded bad files which they had fixed for me. I was trying to get her to tell me the gist of what she was after but she wouldn't. She just kept trying to step me through changing some security settings on my computer.

supposedly from Telstra technical department telling me my internet was slow because my computer was downloading too much junk , asked for her telstra id # ,she reeled of a couple of letters and 6 #s which i knew were wrong , told her that wasnt the right id then hunng up

Call every day at least once, my machine answers and they hang up.

A new type of scam. Wanting to refund some money for previous technical support. I declined, though it took a few minutes to persuade them.
